Ground report from CM Naveen Patnaik's constituency

Ex-Cm Naveen Patnaik

Chief Minister of Odisha and leader of Biju Janata Party Mr. Naveen Patnaik has contested five consecutive elections from Hinjili in Ganjam. Hinjili is about 170 km away from the capital Bhubaneswar. Near this Hinjili there are Rushikulya River and Khodahad River. This constituency is a part of Ganjam District and Aska Lok Sabha. Even after Naveen Patnaik has been MLA and Chief Minister of Hinjili for five times, people here are dependent on other states for their livelihood. People in this state are going to die without getting any jobs, the ruling BJD government does not accept it. According to the 2019 report, the number of voters in Ganjam district is about 22,00,000. According to experts, most of the people here go to other states and Maharashtra and Gujarat to earn money.

In 1997 Naveen Patnaik's father Bijyananda Patnaik who is known as Biju Patnaik. After his death, Naveen Patnaik, who was studying outside India, entered politics. He became the Chief Minister for the first time in this Biju Janata Dal seat at the age of 54. He is 78 years old and is still representing the region. However, the number of poor people and the number of people living there did not change and took a serious form. Saru is a village about 6 km away from Hinjili. Almost half of the houses in this village are locked. There are no young people in the village. If anyone looks and asks, the answer is that we are coming to the village for 15-20 days.

There is a young student who is only 18 years old and his financial condition is so bad that he has to earn money to study and run the house. He said that we have to go out as there is no other option like employment here. If you are looking for some work here you will find only civil work. There is no job here according to your qualifications. There is nothing like reading a text to suit a child. I have to go out for that. The children there say that our financial condition was very bad, but after going out to work, things have improved. People have opined that if Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had done some industry in Odisha, people would have stayed and worked in Odisha instead of going out and would have been happy.

Because the old people of 60-70 years of age have to leave their parents and go out to work. As a result, there is no one to see their 60-70 year old parents. In other words, skilled and unskilled people of Odisha are dependent on other states. Most of the people earn there and live there, and whoever lives in the village, they are mostly old people. P. Ramachandrapalli near Hinjili which was earlier known as Nunapalli. That village is just like that. About 75 percent of the people in that village have gone out and 25 percent of the people are in the village. Some people were scared and refused to come in front of the media because if they said anything they would target him and attack him. A very good road has been made by the state government to go to Hinjili. There are also schools, colleges and good health centers. There is also a private eye clinic near Hinjili. Hinjili is a clean place. Family farming is very good here. That's why most of the people here do family farming. It is also supplied in all states except Heinzli.
