Iran's President
Ebrahim Raisi has been on a three-day visit to Pakistan and is now on a visit
to Sri Lanka. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi visited Karachi, Lahore and
different places in Pakistan during his visit to Pakistan which started on 22 April. During this visit, he discussed political and
commercial issues between the two countries. Regarding this visit, the United
States told Pakistan that if it develops any kind of relations with Iran, such
as business and politics, keep sanctions in mind.
Iran's President Raisi is the only foreign
leader to visit Pakistan for the first time since the election that concluded
in February this year. He said from the beginning of his visit to Pakistan that
this is to increase trade between the two countries. He was saying that this
will generate a business of 10 billion dollars a year in
the next 5 years. According to Reuters, which keeps the
news of all the countries of the world, these two Muslim countries are
improving their relations after Iran's missile attack on Israel. During his
visit to Pakistan on April 22, he attended a program at a
government college university in Lahore, Pakistan, and warned Israel.
Ebrahim Raisi said that if Israel attacks Iran
and does not make any mistakes, the situation will be different this time and
he said that the situation will be so different that it is doubtful whether
Israel has the power and nuclear weapons. On the first day of Raisi's visit to
Pakistan, about 8 documents like business, science,
technology, health, culture were signed between the two countries. On the
second day, an agreement was signed to enhance relations between the two
countries and to cooperate in all fields. According to Arab news, the information
contained in these eight agreements is to increase cooperation between the
ministries of affairs, Israel and Iran, to cooperate with the two countries on
health and safety culture in the field of animal husbandry, and to increase the
promotion of films between the two countries.
The US is upset
with Iran's president's visit to Pakistan. The United States warned about the
trade agreement between Iran and Pakistan and said that it would be better to
restrict trade. He also said that he will continue to work on Iran. US
Secretary of State Vedant Patel said that we will take action against
large-scale arms procurement, wherever it happens, by imposing sanctions on
suppliers in Pakistan's missile program. With that, he said, "I just want
to say that I would advise any country considering doing business with Iran to
be mindful of the risks associated with sanctions." Then the government of
Pakistan can keep its foreign policy. According to an IRNA news agency of Iran,
there will be 1.5 billion dollars between Iran and
Pakistan in 2022. That would increase by 38 percent
to 2 billion dollars in 2023. Iran
sells products like petroleum gas, petroleum coke to Pakistan and Pakistan
sells iron equipment and medical equipment to Iran.
